Lauren was born in Calgary and has lived here all her life. She received both her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and her J.D. from the University of Calgary, and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2018. Lauren has exclusively practiced family law, and is experienced in child protection matters.
Lauren takes a direct, practical, and compassionate approach to resolving family law issues. She works towards crafting solutions that will both settle the immediate issues and assist in achieving her clients’ longer term goals, without inserting unnecessary conflict into their lives. Her priority is to keep matters out of Court if possible, as the expense, stress, and duration of litigation can impact families for years after their matter is resolved. If a matter cannot be resolved without assistance, she prefers mediation/arbitration to help minimize costs for her clients and to prevent disputes from becoming needlessly contentious. Lauren also understands that the intervention of the Courts is sometimes unavoidable, and she has significant litigation experience.
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys snowboarding, hiking, playing ultimate frisbee, and giving ugly homemade crafts to her friends and family.
